# Create your first project

## Create in a new folder
|
|
|
|
```sh
|
|
dcr new hello
|
|
cd hello
|
|
```
|
|
|
|
This creates:
|
|
|
|

|
|
hello/
|
|
- dcr.toml
|
|
- src/
|
|
- - main.c
|
|
```
|
|
|
|
## Or initialize current folder
|
|
|
|
```sh

mkdir hello
|

cd hello

dcr init
|
|
```

|
|
`dcr init` requires the current directory to be empty.
